Description

from Historic Pub Crawl
The ORIGINAL, WORLD FAMOUS ST. AUGUSTINE PUB CRAWL that started it all! Visit the city’s most charming taverns with your fun City Walks Pub Scout, where you’ll experience a slice of authentic local Saint Augustine culture. Enjoy tales of the city's history mixed with traditional ‘pub lore’ of eras gone by, from around the world.

Explore some unique points of interest as your guide explains their significance and even engage in a few drinking games along the way. This is definitely more of a "high end" pub crawl where you will learn about the finer beers featured at local establishments while exploring the city's rich past. Find out how beer is made, what goes into serving it, how to distinguish the different types of beer and the role that breweries have played in history.

There's no better way to "Drink up the history of St. Augustine" with your new friends than on this one-of-a-kind 2.5-hour adventure departing downtown every Saturday at 5:00 pm. Your ticket price includes one welcome beverage, either house wine or draft beer. You will have the option and time to purchase a beverage at each of the other pubs we visit along the way.

Our tour guide Mick focused on the historical side more and this made it way more interesting. He was engaging, friendly and hilarious. My only regret was not having cash on hand to tip him. His tour was hands down the highlight of St Augustine trip. If you love history, take this tour plus it was at night so avoided Florida heat!

Such a fun time! Please ask for Allen, he made the tour so much fun. Great bars and lots of laugh. There was a total of 14 of us girls, and it could not have gone any smoother! Thanks Allen for being the best tour guide for the Bachelorette party!

I have been to St Augustine dozens of times and have never had such a good time... The Captain made us feel as if we were a part of its rich history... His riveting story telling and extensive knowledge of the area kept us entertained the whole time... The pubs we encountered were so much fun and we made new friends from all over the country... definitely recommend to new or old visitors... well worth the ticket and was happy to leave a big tip too(and im a cheapskate)... Thanks Captain :)

"Pub crawl the way it SHOULD be."

We took this crawl almost a year ago and LOVED it. I haven't done a review until now for 2 reasons. The first being that I'm relatively new to tripadvisor and the 2nd reason is after our recent lackluster experience at a Key West crawl (PLUNDER Foodie and Drink Stroll...UGH), I felt compelled to do a review now. This tour included a visit to 5 interesting and diverse drinking establishments with a spirited guide who had an excellent personality. There were about a dozen of us and we all enjoyed the delicious drinks with hearty camaraderie. We made friends with some of the others and still keep in touch. We also learned alot about the history of intriguing and somewhat ghostly St Augie. Thanks guys! Ya'll need to go down south and show them how its done.

Is food served?
No, there is not food on this tour. We suggest eating prior to the tour since it is around dinner time.

What should I wear?
Please wear appropriate footwear. This is a walking tour. With our brick lined streets, heels just don’t work well. We’ll be walking about 6-10 blocks on the tour. It’s not really far, but you’ll thank us later on.

Can someone under 21 attend this tour?
No, all participants in any of our pub crawls must be 21 or over.

Do you operate in inclement weather?
Tours operate rain or shine. We walk about 2-3 blocks in between stops so you don’t have to worry about being out in the elements for very long. Most of our tours take place inside. We would suggest that you bring an umbrella. It’s a very versatile accessory. It can be used for shade on a sunny day and it keeps you dry when it rains. In the event of a dangerous storm we may cancel the tour but you will be given the option to rebook or take a refund.
