Description

from Medieval Torture Museum
The emotions inspired by the “Medieval Torture Collection” will transport you back in time hundreds of years to some of the most miserable moments in human history.

Our exhibit is a unique presentation that combines academic research with the contradictive, emotionally repulsive draw of a time in history when torture and torment were commonplace.

The “Medieval Torture Collection” reminds us just how much suffering humanity can inflict in the name of cause and justice when the right tools are placed in the hands of fanatics, madmen, and tyrants.

Based on historical documents and engravings, we have amassed an unprecedented collection of cruelty, re-creating the atmosphere that prevailed throughout most of the Middle Ages. For several years, a team of scientists, historians, decorators, and sculptors have worked on creating a unique collection consisting of several hundred pieces filling more than 4000 sq. ft.

Spend an hour here and you will better know the nature of fear.

Are you brave enough?

Not for the faint of heart. Very well done and CREEPY as it should have been. I couldn't help but think WOW there are some messed up people in this world who thought about and created these forms of torture. My husband and daughter love scary stuff so this place was a must for us. Great job on the exhibits.

This place is very revealing and telling about the type of people that we were before,, very barbaric very inhumane and very evil.. It is educational though because we learn what not to do and the fact that we should not allow society to be Bad like this, because that will lead us back to these type of places.. we come from this but we are going away from it not back to it as a society.. And if we are not careful whin the way the world is today we can very easily go back to these mid evil times..

I thought I was into gory things, but less the half way through I had had enough. This is really how people were tortured in the past and while yes, it is our history, it was a bit too much for me to see.

I did this tour with my niece who is in her 20s. She really liked it but it kind of left me a little down. It would be good for a Halloween tour or for young adults but it was depressing and sad to see what people do to each other
