Description

from Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum
Ripley's St. Augustine is the first & Oldest Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium!

Although Robert Ripley was a frequent visitor to St. Augustine and stayed in the building often, he did not create the museum. He died in 1949 and a year after his death, the Castle Warden was purchased to be the ideal, uniquely glamorous building to house his collections.

Collections that include real shrunken human heads, rosaries made of human bone, and a drum kit featuring two human skulls fused together and covered with human skin. Those and 800 other unique exhibits, artifacts, artwork and so much more await you and your family inside the museum right here in St. Augustine!

NOTE: In order to board the Ghost Train you must present your voucher and Photo ID at the Ripley’s Ghost Parlor at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time. Be sure to bring along a digital camera and any other recording gear you wish.

"Different and educational"
August, 2016
I went with my granddaughter expecting her to enjoy this. But, after going thru this place it was interesting and kept my attention. Even staff was friendly. THey saw I had a cane and offered the elevator with a walkie talkie to let them know when I was ready for the next floor or finish the tour.
Tip: Keep and open mind. It is educational for kids to see.

It was not on my to do list, but my husband really wanted to. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. We took our time(about an hour and a half) to be able to see everything. There was a lot of very interesting things. I am glad I decided to go.

"Great family experience!"
October, 2015
We were in the St. Augustine area for a National Championship track meet and decided to take my 3 kids on our days off. The Ripley's Mansion was a great time and the kids totally enjoyed seeing all the oddities. There is a little bit of everything to keep you entertained. I highly recommend taking a tour if you're in town. Very close to the main part of town too.
Tip: Parking is free which is very helpful in the St. Augustine downtown area.

This was the munchkin's choice for attraction on our family trip but of course we all had fun. There is something to look at in every nook and cranny and you come out learning all sorts of interesting trivia. It was a great time!

We've been to Ripley's Believe It Or Not in several cities and honestly the exhibits are the same no matter the location. This particular location is in a historic old castle and the grounds are nicely maintained. I would recommend if this is your first visit to a Ripley's but otherwise save your money.

This was not on my "Bucket List," but my friend wanted to go and take her two great grandchildren. There were some interesting things and some creepy things. Some items were not what I was expecting; but then, I'm not sure what I was expecting. The kids seemed to really enjoy it. I guess there is something of interest for everyone there. As we drove home, the 10 year old especially enjoyed reading through her little paperback book, reviewing all the information of the things that she had seen. One visit is enough for me to enjoy. The best part was watching the kids enjoy themselves.

First time in and it was fun to see all the facts and weird things to do. The end was the best, can't spoil it! Worth the visit if you've never gone. Can see why returning wouldn't be worth the value. Took about an hour to walk and enjoy the whole museum.

Tickets were easy to purchase, parking is free on the grounds. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable There were a few interesting things for us to see. However, somewhat redundant. I would view their website first to see if this side trip is worth the extra money. Kids may enjoy a few of the displays, but would get bored easily. Older adults, I had fun. Be careful on the stairs going up to the second floor.
