Description

from Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum
Ripley's St. Augustine is the first & Oldest Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium!

Although Robert Ripley was a frequent visitor to St. Augustine and stayed in the building often, he did not create the museum. He died in 1949 and a year after his death, the Castle Warden was purchased to be the ideal, uniquely glamorous building to house his collections.

Collections that include real shrunken human heads, rosaries made of human bone, and a drum kit featuring two human skulls fused together and covered with human skin. Those and 800 other unique exhibits, artifacts, artwork and so much more await you and your family inside the museum right here in St. Augustine!

NOTE: In order to board the Ghost Train you must present your voucher and Photo ID at the Ripley’s Ghost Parlor at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time. Be sure to bring along a digital camera and any other recording gear you wish.

"Different and educational"
August, 2016
I went with my granddaughter expecting her to enjoy this. But, after going thru this place it was interesting and kept my attention. Even staff was friendly. THey saw I had a cane and offered the elevator with a walkie talkie to let them know when I was ready for the next floor or finish the tour.
Tip: Keep and open mind. It is educational for kids to see.

It was not on my to do list, but my husband really wanted to. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. We took our time(about an hour and a half) to be able to see everything. There was a lot of very interesting things. I am glad I decided to go.
Tip: You will amazed, and some very neat things

"Great family experience!"
October, 2015
We were in the St. Augustine area for a National Championship track meet and decided to take my 3 kids on our days off. The Ripley's Mansion was a great time and the kids totally enjoyed seeing all the oddities. There is a little bit of everything to keep you entertained. I highly recommend taking a tour if you're in town. Very close to the main part of town too.
Tip: Parking is free which is very helpful in the St. Augustine downtown area.

"Odd collection of oddities"

Ripley's Believe It Or Not offers a weird collection of oddities. We found the museum to be very crowded. Visitors can save some money and skip the lines by purchasing admission tickets ahead of time. Bring along a sack of quarters, particularly if you have children because they'll want to get a souvenir coin, measure their grip, assess their passion attractiveness, or shoot at pirate skeletons. Ripley's contains a large number of odd things (e.g., a shrunken head), or items made out of unusual materials (e.g., crayons, matches, skin). It is best to look at this as an attraction for children or those infatuated with the macabre. I visited Ripley's about 30 years ago. I feel I'm good for another 30 years.

Live near here. Finally decided to go. It was very interesting. It was rather dark inside. The physical house was amazing!!, The woodwork was stunning! Wish I could see it in the light. Can only imagine what it must have been like as a residence. It's not my cup of tea, but glad I went!

Everything that you never thought you had seen before. Its a fun place with nice staff. Watch out for the David statue outside behind the hedges, you may have to explain to the little ones. Just tell them its art and take off from there.

Very friendly staff very helpful with my husband being disabled. Was okay for a stop in a/c filled building. Kids felt like there should have been more to it. Pretty good little stop in though

First we had to stand in line forever for tickets because the counter people try to sell you these combo tickets and it takes forever for them to explain to each customer. The exhibits were ok but some were far fetched. It's just a tourist trap.
