Description

from ZIPStream’s Castaway Canopy Zipline Adventure
Come and experience Johnny Castaway’s aerial playground. And maybe, just maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of Johnny himself!

ZIPStream’s Castaway Canopy Zipline Adventure (ZCCA) is a fully guided Zip Line Eco Canopy Tour lead by professionally trained and certified guides! Come enjoy a birds-eye-view of the beautiful St. Augustine Aquarium grounds and an aerial trip through a corner of Wild Florida. Seven zip lines and four bridges allow you and your group traverse the canopy above the Aquarium and through the woods. On your trek, you’ll get up close and personal with several tree species including Brutus, our beautiful Laurel Oak, in whose boughs resides Johnny Castaway’s treehouse! If you’re fortunate you may get the opportunity to be scolded by one of our resident grey squirrels for invading their living room or hear the distinctive cry of the red-shouldered hawks that call our woods home. You’ll zip through the air while learning about the ecology of Florida and the connection between our wetlands and the health of oceans while engaging with our fun, knowledgeable and entertaining guides!

If you have never experienced the exhilaration and fun of a zip lining adventure, ZCCA is the perfect first experience for you! Our guides are extensively trained and certified by our sister company The Adventure Guild (TAG), an industry leader and accredited Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of the Association for Challenge Course Technology. So before you ever step into a harness you can be sure that everything at ZCCA has been constructed to exacting standards and that our personnel knows their stuff!

In addition to the security provided by a professionally designed and constructed course and highly trained staff, ZCCA also employs ISC’s Smart Snap, 100% tie-off belay system, which means that at no time during the course of the adventure can a guest accidentally or intentionally be disconnected from the life safety system, which helps adventure seekers conquer their fears and fully embrace the experience of zipping through the air and being high in the tree canopy!

Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tours go up every hour on the hour. The 4:00 time slot has to be pre-booked.

We did this in conjunction with snorkeling at the aquarium. We felt like we got the VIP treatment by the guides. They did an amazing job of taking care of us and played a major role in our experience.

The crew and guides made this the most exciting and fearless adventure - Merky - Josh - Eric and Dustin made it fun- not for one minute did I feel afraid. The entire time we were going from platform to platform was thrilling and exhilarating - I will be back. ZipStreams Castaway Canopy Adventure is one of - if not the best in the area. I was actually humming the theme song from Indiana Jones by the time we were halfway through ! Thank you!

"BEST FIELD TRIP EVER!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed October 17, 2018
Thanks to the parks incredible generosity, we had the chance to take our boys from a juvenile justice facility on an awesome trip here. The boys said this was their absolute favorite field trip we have been on and so much fun!! Our boys have never had the chance to experience something like this and they had a great time getting to enjoy life and be kids again. It was incredible to see our biggest kids grinning and screaming like the sweet kids they are! Our tour guides dustin, Eric, and josh were so great with our boys and were a ton of fun to spend the day with. I would recommend this to any group looking for a fun filled day as we made memories that will last a lifetime! We can not thank you enough!!

I was so excited to try it when I got to the platform got a little scared to just jump off, but the guide made it more comfortable by having me crouch down and once I let go it was so amazing zipping along up in the air. I will advise everyone to try it, the crew at Castaway Canopy in St. Augustine were great thank you Josh, Eric and Dukin you gave me great time. ( I hope the names are correct)
